Cluster for Metabolomic Networks

Scope

The scope of the "Metabolomic Networks" research cluster includes the search for novel disease makers using omics-analysis and the systematic investigation of metabolic regulatary mechanisms.

Overview

  • Development of advanced capillary electrophoresis - mass spectrometry (CE-MS) methodologies (Prof. Soga)
  • Analysis of protein networks of human cell metabolic enzymes and elucidation of their control mechanisms, using in vitro virus. (Prof. Yanagawa)
  • Development of novel algorithms and software to data-mine and integrate "omics" data, and simulate the dynamic behavior of human metabolism. (Prof. Tomita)
  • Posttranslational modification of proteins in metabolic diseases, particularly as they relate to oxidant-induced changes in protein structure and function. (Prof. Cohen)
